Marawi City, Philippines- Three days “Peace Education Seminar Workshop” according to the Executive Director of the Reconciliatory Initiatives for Development (RIDO) Inc.

Abdul Hamidullah T. Atar, RIDO Executive Director , said: this Organization with the supports from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace process (OPAPP) will conduct three days activity on Peace Education Seminar Worshop on Novemeber 22-24, 2008 at Crystal Inn, San Mguel, Iligan City.

This RIDO is headed by President Regina S. Antiquesa. The event is part of the conflict resolution program of the organization which the activity is part of the preventive mechanism on clan feuds existing in Lanao Provinces, Atar said in an invitation letter to Dr. Ali B. Panda, one of the resource speakers who will discuss the classification and forms of human rights in Islam while Muslims living in the Philippines.

Other invited resource speakers expected to come are Maulana Faisal Abdullah, Aleem Olo Batuaan, Hadji Abdullah Magayoong, Aleem Amerol Pandapat, Jaime “Bong” Enriques, Abdul Hamidullah Atar and Prof. Abdulrahman A. Mangorsi.

The meaning of rido, its causes and effects and implication to the lives of Mranao society will be the subject of focus group discussion during evening session
