KORONADAL CITY -- Hackers have defaced the website of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (www.luwaran.com), the group's chief negotiator said Thursday. Mohagher Iqbal, MILF chief negotiator, admitted this to the Philippine Daily Inquirer by phone but refused to speculate on the military's involvement. "If you open our website, you can see that all posted were previous materials. We were hacked and we are fixing it now. Anytime it will run again," Iqbal said. The military has accused the MILF of publishing polluted information on its website as part of the rebel group's alleged propaganda in the wake of ongoing fighting in Mindanao. Server systems, particularly those using open source Linux and other Unix-based operating system, are prone to hacking.
