It was Sunday, the first day of the week (area thickly populated by Muslim, started their first day of classes at Sunday), I started the lesson on Inequality. Previously, we talk on equality. Before the formal discussions, I reminded them for the incoming second periodical Examinations which will includes Inequality. It is my practiced not too check attendance, for the evaluation test serve as the attendance. I further remind them to keep their notebook and ball pen, for I hate to see student writing while I am explaining. Except, it is so hard to feed busy mind while doing the writing and listening. As I observed them all set for the discussions, I wrote few lines on equation, related on greater than and less than. My center of discussions was for them to remember related techniques on how to distinguish the two with just a glance. The equation shows:

If x2, this means, x is lees than y greater than two.

To immediately judge which is greater and which is less simply follow the pointed edge of the sign. To be simple, the less than of this expression is pointed by this sign. Hence, quickly we can say that x and 2 are less than while y is greater. To brush off their mind, I integrated related values. Since the end point of the signs represent less than, they must avoid to point their fingers to any body when conversing. As you point your fingers, you became the greater and the later as less. As a graded recitation, I ask for any volunteer to discuss related values and application of the lesson just discussed.

One student rise up and asked, “Ma’am, the government military and the Bangsamoro are pen pointing each other, related to the conflict, which of them is greater? Before I have catch to answer the same, another student rise up and say….The government military is greater because they put a bounty for the three Bangsamoro Commanders greater than the bounty that “Commander Pusa has set for the influential politicians named as against the signing of the MOAD. The discussions became live that I have not corrected any wrong statement. On the other corner, one student debated that the Bangsamoro is greater for they offered lower than the military did. The Moro army can have the enemy they wanted for a lower amount. A thunderous voice from the right corner role; “Ma’am, but why is it that even the poor civilians without bounty was hit from this present clashes? The classroom roars as if the market is on its pick hour. I lost all the chances. Just before the other has finished his statement, one more student went to the blackboard and jot down two lines.

Civilians=n(bullets)
Community=n(bombshells)

Voice from all corners of the room rose. I lost my temper and bang my eraser in the blackboard. Why must you create an equation when we are dealing with inequality? I asked. I hear from the distant, saying…you are right Ma’am! Let me correct them all. Allow me to write this inequality.

Anticipating for another remark, I warned them to mark any student absent if he tried for another issue. The classroom was cool and only a breath that breaks the power of silence. I emphasize to them that the lesson has nothing to do with the present conflict. I detested and not know any mathematicians to be the lawless elements of the war. That mathematics was designed for war to create any mathematics expressions in which the ultimate victims were the entire population of an affected area. I declared to them to forget the equations and inequalities they formulated for it has nothing to do with the current lessons. Instead, they have to scan their books and follow proper illustrations, for them to solve related exercises. Otherwise, they will flank on the incoming periodical
examinations.

I fixed my instructional materials without saying goodbye. I dislike this kind of attitudes. It is premature for them to interpret anything related to the issue on war. I went outside murmuring. Ever since the war began, it has become the talk of the town, and I became numbed. I cannot attain to think that while other are feasting for the issue, more lives are wasted and every one affected are suffering. On the mid of this issue, I declined to read any headline of the newspapers. I switch off our Televisions just to abstain from the problem. I am very thankful that there is news blackout. The conflict has no more to find in any newspapers, though my ears lost control of the countless bombs in our locality. I am happy too that I can view freely during news Television program. No more lifeless viewed and livelihood aired being damaged. Perhaps, the media are tired to cover inconsistence evidence that make them to report one sided, or, may be the area is too remote, or dangerous to take. Which ever of the two, I know they have reasons why they decline.

Though my pretend prevail, but my hearts ponder for any peaceful means so that I can conditionally think of my Muslim brothers and Sister who are suffering from the variance…. will be in the state of mind. The war has acquired pages from my diary, which I cannot overlook for my generation will scan every leaves provided. I just hope, the two forces will equate themselves to a certain point, so that every body will be afforded.
