The NEW JERUSALEM MOVEMENT (NJM) is a group organized by North Cotabato Vice Governor Emmanuel  “Manny” Pinol. Pinol is the Supreme Commander of this group. The NJM, otherwise known as Reform the ILAGA Movement, is a revival of the Christian Fanatical Group in the 60’s such as ILAGA (Ilonggo Land Grabbing Association), The Muslim FREE Mindanao, TADTAD, The Crusade of the children of GOD, the Shepherds, and other Christian vigilante groups who are committing ethnic cleansing against the Muslims in Mindanao.

The Vatican supported NJM and gave financial support for the training of NJM spiritual army. In return, the NJM’s fanatical fighters promised the Holy See that in sooner time Mindanao will be a Land of Fulfillment and not merely a Land of Promise for the Christians settlers. In retrospect, Pope Paul financed the ILAGA Movement in the 1960’s. Raul Manglapus, the founding father of the National Union of Christian Democrats (NUCD) had attended a meeting in Vatican. The meeting tackled about the Church dream of Christianization of Mindanao and Sulu islands and the physical extermination of the Muslim Bangsamoros. Manglapus was tasked to oversee the implementation of the Vatican sinister plan against the Muslims in Mindanao. The Vatican spent billions in its crusade against the Bangsamoros.

Majority of the leaders and members of NJM are Ilonggo National leaders like Mar Roxas III and Franklin Drillon who are their declared honorary supreme Leaders. Miriam Defensor Santiago was also recruited to join NJM. Ilonggo military officials are also recruited and they are tasked for the combat training and for the supply of weapons and ammunitions to the NJM’s spiritual army. Manny Pinol recruited the former ILAGA members who are now staying in Panay and Negros. The Ilonggo recruits are now massively transported to Mindanao under the direction of Pinol. Some of the notorious and cannibalic leaders of the ILAGA are Commander Striker and Commander Manero alias Bokay; they tell their people that they have to eat flesh    of Muslims again if war breaks out between the Muslims and Christians in Mindanao.

Parts of NJM clandestine plans are to oppose the political package for the resolution of the Mindanao conflict that will be agreed upon in the negotiation between the GRP and MILF with the facilitation of the Malaysian Government. Moreover, Mar Roxas, in his bid for presidency, assured the NJM that he will not deal with the Muslim secessionist group and he will opt for the military solution to the Mindanao problem, if elected President of the Republic of the Philippines in 2010 national election. Roxas told the NJM that he will declare all-out war against the Muslim separatist movement the moment he assumes the office of the highest position of the land.

The Ilonggo migrants to Mindanao see Mindanao as their New Jerusalem in the South East Asia. They believe that they are destined by God to colonize Mindanao and free it from the Muslims and indigenous people. In related story, Commander Pusa (Cat), an old timer Moro warrior, vows to fight the Ilonggos if they dare to enter in Muslims areas. Pusa recounted he was able to push outward the ILAGAs who are attacking Muslim villages during the height of Muslim-ILAGA conflict. He will wage racial and religious war against the NJM of Pinol. He is determined to pursue the NJM militiamen and to finish off the ILAGA barbaric forces that are doing atrocious acts against the Moro people.
