Marawi City, Philippines—Almanar members will hold their special meeting on Tuesday December 25, 2007 in the morning at the Graduate School Building, Mindanao State University in Marawi City.

Professor  Salipada S. Tamano,  Secretary General, cordially called the Moners/members of the Almanar to attend the special meeting on Tuesday, December 25,2007 at 9:00 O’clock in the morning to be held at the Graduate School Building, near the College of Business Administration, Mindanao State University Campus in Marawi City to discuss some important matters that has not been finally decided by the members during their December 9, regular meeting due to insufficient attendance of Moners.

“Important matters include a purpose tie up project with certain Saudi Arabian big time businessman whom brother Abdul Hanan F. Tago of the Arab News recommended. Brother Tago who attended the meeting last December 9 through personal invitation by Moner Datu Hassan C. Cana has given assurance to help the Almanar by acting as intermediary between us and the said businessmen who are in need of trusted and reliable organization in the Philippines to channel their  projects. Brother Tago has been nominated for membership of our organization subject to the will of the majority.” Tamano also said.

Alamanar is one of the leading organizations in the Philippines whose membership is composed of ulama, professionals, businessmen and leaders.

	Comments Almanar is among the oldest Association. Despite of its membership composed of ulama, lawyers, Ph. D holders, etc., it fails to establish even a single tangible legacy. Why?

	Reply to AAA:    your allegation is not fair.     may be you are not just familiar with the Al Mannar because you were not born yet when the organization was at its peak.    I'm pretty sure they have done so many good things during their hey days.     It's just that Al Mannar is a non-polotocal organization thats why they don't use the name of the group for piblication and personal advancement.    I believe the OMPIA, the Pilandok, the EMERGG, the saksi and other meranao organization are all offsprings of the Al Mannar.
